Please keep the Rufford ceramics centre open and the earth & fire exhibition running. This is a cultural event that brings many people to the area and we, locals, look forward to it. It is a great asset to the area. Do not culturally impoverish us!

Please support the arts and crafts in Nottinghamshire – our city is sadly lacking in this respect – no decent art gallery even – shame!

Unfortunately, I believe that Notts CC Arts have made their decision based on an insufficiently diverse range of people attracted there. It is sad to think that a centre of international renown which actually enhances Notts CC image and reputation should be dealt with summarily without reference to either public opinion or to the ridicule it will suffer within the international arts community. Bizarrely they expect artists to hire the room and mount their own exhibitions without regard to whether they have such funds or expertise. Goodbye new talent, wide ranging and balanced exibitions, and expertly mounted displays. On a personal note, the centre has been instrumental in allowing me to discover previously unsuspected talents which I have pursued there and at Nottingham University. I am grieving.
